Fairtrade Fortnight is an annual campaign that takes place every year to promote and celebrate Fairtrade products. This year the Fortnight runs from 25th February to 10th March. This year, Fairtrade Fortnight will focus on cocoa and cocoa farmers. Did you know that a large portion of the world’s cocoa is grown in West Africa?

Many farmers are underpaid and exploited and can’t earn enough to afford the basics that we take for granted. This is why Fairtrade Fortnight will stand up for their rights and give them a voice.

How Did Fairtrade Fortnight Start ?

Fairtrade Fortnight began in Edinburgh in 1997 and is now celebrated in a number of countries around the world including Canada, Australia and New Zealand. There are 4,500 Fairtrade Labelled products available for sale from food and drink to homeware and fashion.
